The Siberian Husky is a friendly dog that loves the company of other dogs or people. They are hospitable to strangers and so probably won’t make the finest guard dog. They don’t like being on their own especially if there are long periods when no one is at home. Huskies are great with children, but may perhaps bump into them in their enthusiasm to play. They are also accepting of other pets, particularly if reared with them from being a puppy. They are very capable dogs and like to explore and run and so would do better if they are kept in a large, open and safe location.
